Fauzia’s Coronation Concert Experience

On 7th May, having been chosen as one of the lucky 5 from Girlguiding LaSER, I made my way on the Lizzy Line to Windsor Castle for the King’s Coronation Concert!

The five who attended were chosen by their County Commissioning teams for their service to Girlguiding, and I was so honoured to be nominated, let alone chosen! (Thanks Jenni, Jade and Marian!)

The event was incredible. Amazing music and performances. I have to say, the Coronation Choir was probably one of the highlights for me, showcasing some of the best talent Britain, and the Commonwealth, have to offer. And let’s not forget boogying down to the legend that is Lionel Ritchie!

What struck me the most was how many people recognised us in our Guiding uniform, telling us stories of their time in Guiding and how much they enjoyed it. It made me so proud to be representing such an amazing organisation, filled with the most incredible volunteers who are so passionate about what we do.

Thank you, Girlguiding, for such an incredible opportunity.
