Ruislip Victoria District and Ruislip District are both part of the Ruislip-Northwood Division covering Eastcote, Ruislip and Northwood.

1st South Ruislip Brownies were honoured to host the Worshipful the Mayor of Hillingdon, Teji Barnes during one of our weekly virtual Brownies meetings. Madam Mayor attended our session on 4 March when we were celebrating World Book Day and was very impressed with the Brownies’ book-themed costumes.
Our young girls asked Madam Mayor some very insightful questions such as how she became Mayor, what her job involves and how her role has changed due to CoVID. They also found out some fun facts such as how the Mayor has met the Prime Minister on numerous occasions, her career as a driving instructor and her love of city breaks! Madam
Mayor joined in our World Book Day activities and told us her favourite book is ‘The Kite Runner’ then joined in discussions with the girls about a heroine they would create to feature in their own books. 1st South Ruislip Brownies would like to thank Madam Mayor for giving up some of her valuable time to join us for the evening.
