Creating Beautiful Pottery
Many Brownie Guiders are very crafty, however one local Brownie leader, Arezo, has honed her skills and opened up her own pottery painting shop in Ickenham, Middx called Wick and Ceramic.
A number of Ickenham brownies have enjoyed sessions there and 1st Ickenham Brownie had 2 sessions.
Week 1 – the Brownies were given a piece of clay and shown how to mould it into a pot shape using their fingers.
This dried during the week and then on…
Week 2 – they painted their pots in a variety of different colours and patterns. The brownies also helped make a tea light candle.
They were very interested to hear about how their pot would be baked to become nice and shiny.
They also marvelled at all the lovely pottery available just to paint!
