As County Archivist, I am responsible for maintaining a wonderful array of archives held by the County. On this page are a few examples of what is available to borrow.

Should you wish for somebody to come, show and talk to you about them (we have enough uniforms for everybody in the Unit to get dressed up), I am more than happy to attend, just get in touch.
Books and journals
Logbooks, expedition journals, annuals, story books and lots of photos from all the ages. An index card collection from HQ, detailing all the names of Leaders and Units in our County dated from the 1950’s until Girlguiding went digital.
Badges
Proficiency and Metal Badges from the very beginning of Guiding including handmade proficiency badges from the 1920’s.
Uniforms
A complete collection of all the different uniforms for all sections from the very beginning. Plus there is so much more. This is all available to any Unit who wishes to borrow them. Should you wish for somebody to come to you, show and talk to you about them (we have enough uniforms for everybody in the Unit to get dressed up), I am more than happy to attend, just get in touch.
