9th Hayes Guides Celebration Day Out

9th Hayes celebrated Emily's Jack Petchey Award.

Emily was awarded Jack Petchey for overcoming personal challenges in and outside of Guiding and received a certificate, badge and £300 to spend on her unit. Emily choose for the unit to have a fun day out before Christmas.

On Sunday 10th December, we went to Uxbridge Odeon to see Disney’s Wish which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

Then we got the bus to Westfield to play a round of mini golf at Putt Shack. Leila one the round with some holes in one.

Afterwards, we had lunch and then each girl made a Build a Bear at Hamleys. One of the Guides was unable to attend so the Guides made a frog bear for her as a surprise. Our Guides are so kind that they all decided by themselves to make her’s before their own. They all chose a bear and some outfits. The elves at Hamleys made the experience extra special for all the girls by talking to each of them and helping them make wishes for their bears. It was a very long but very enjoyable, memorable day full of laughs, fun, smiles and friendship as Guiding should be.On our last Guide night, the girls had a pj film night watching Elf which the bears all came to in their pj’s too.
