Our recent County Awards Evening was on Thursday 6th June 2024 at the Willow Tree Centre. All County volunteers and members of our County Trefoil Guilds were invited to attend this event and help us celebrate the achievements of our volunteers and enjoy an evening of socialising with light refreshments.
There are lots of opportunities to nominate volunteers for awards throughout the year, you can read about the Region and National Awards below and how to nominate someone.
Not sure which award to nominate a volunteer or young member for? Contact us at awards@girlguidingmiddxnw.org.uk
We also nominate our volunteers for local community awards like the Hillingdon Community Award and Harrow Heroes and are always looking for future nominations for volunteers within our County that we can put forward for future awards.
Let’s celebrate our volunteers and thank them for all they do for our young members, fellow volunteers and Girlguiding!
For further details see our Awards Evening Events page.
We received many inspiring nominations from across all Divisions in our county, and it was humbling to hear about some of our incredible young members and young adults who try hard and do their best.
The winners of the Spring/Summer Awards were notified in May and will be invited to a Jack Petchey Awards Evening later this year.
There are 9 awards to be given in every Division, 6 in Spring/Summer and 3 awards in the Autumn. Every Unit has the chance to nominate a young member (including young leaders) or leader between the ages of 11 and 25 for an award. Winners are typically announced in October and May of each year.
Winners will be invited to an annual ceremony and presented with their medal and certificate. The winner also gets £300 to spend in their unit for an activity, equipment, camp t-shirts etc.
