I was really proud to attend our Jack Petchey Award Evening with Achievement Award winners and their friends and family.
The evening was full of fun, laughter and celebration, presented by comedian Joe Rowntree; a perfect way to celebrate our fabulous winners.
Our first event since relaunching the award in Middlesex North West in Autumn 2023 was opened by our very own Lucy Barratt with a brilliant performance of Miley Cyrus’ The Climb, a very fitting song for the occasion.

Each award winner was invited to the stage to receive their medallion from Jennifer, County Commissioner, followed by the reading of their citation and very deserved cheers from the audience. It was a very lively evening!
We were treated to a very Girlguiding performance of campfire songs by four of our leaders that only added to the buzz of the evening, especially the grand finale – the buffalo song.

A big thank you to the Jack Petchey Foundation for helping us to recognise our brilliant members with the awards and for putting on a spectacular evening, we’re already excited for the next one!
I’m really grateful to have attended the evening which was real testament to our wonderful members across the county.
Nominations are open for Summer 2025 awards, read more and nominate a member aged 11-25 who makes you proud. Summer 2025 winners will be invited to our next award evening in November, along with Autumn 2024 winners.
